So you are here because you want to see how the mobile phone got busteeed :) Well, the video is almost uploaded, just needs the credits to be added and once I've done that you'll be able to get it :) My cousin's old Nokia 5110 was apparently tougher than we thought, as some of the components were still intact after drilling and burning was done. Unfortunatelly the explosive charges inside failed to detonate, however one leaked gunpowder which caused a mild blast. Problem was they were wired incorrectly. Waste. :) Ah, but it was fun, and I wish you enjoyed it as much as we have. :) If you can please support this site by checking out the google ads. Thanks and enjoy!  Posted by Picasa
The surface seems calm enough. :) Posted by Picasa

Nokia. I wonder how the chip got there... Posted by Picasa
Ah, so we have two holes... Posted by Picasa
Umm... I think you have rats. Posted by Picasa
See how the plastic was stressed before it broke? This is why the 5110 was a good phone and the ones they make today aren't. Posted by Picasa
Do not connect battery... Posted by Picasa
This way UP. Posted by Picasa
Rubber keyboard was really tough, although there's no more # sign on it (or key for that matter) :) Posted by Picasa
Spot the odd one out :p Posted by Picasa
Same as below, but different angle. Posted by Picasa
I wonder where the power button is... :D Posted by Picasa
Hmm... i feel all comments are superfluos Posted by Picasa
Definately didn't have this in mind when you designed it, eh? :) Posted by Picasa
The plastic keyboard took it fairly well considering the strain. Posted by Picasa
You can see how it went right through it. :D Posted by Picasa
Umm... i guess this speaks for itself :) Posted by Picasa
Big Phillipines chip was tougher, but it got quite scratched on top :P Posted by Picasa
A glass shard, a chip with a hole in it, and other remains lurk in what used to be a moblie phone... :P Posted by Picasa
The screen didn't take it that well. Nor did the power button. :) Posted by Picasa
ah, yes... the classical "hole-thorugh-high-tech-components" :) Posted by Picasa
Precission drillbits have chewed through this as if it were butter :) Posted by Picasa
Apparently not even Korean chips can withstand the power of the stone drillbit. Posted by Picasa
You can see how the chip was only slightly damaged by the drill. Posted by Picasa
